Today’s photo/story is about street art. Melbourne is famous for its street art, including stencils and sticker-art. Well-known international street-artists including Banksy from the UK and Blek le Rat from France have contributed their work to our buildings.
Hosier Lane is the city’s most famous street-art location and is constantly being photographed by tourists. Some people even have their wedding photos taken there. Just a short tram ride away in the inner-northern suburbs of Collingwood and Fitzroy, the street-art is prolific. This photo was taken in Collingwood and is typical of what can be found as you walk around the suburb.
The rules of the 5 Photos-5 Stories challenge are: 1) To post a photo every day for 5 days; 2) To write a story to accompany your photo for 5 days (this can be fiction or non-fiction, a page, a paragraph or a poem); 3) To nominate a different person each day. I know that many of my fellow bloggers are regularly asked to participate in these challenges so rather than nominating an individual I’m making an offer to any of you who are interested to take up the challenge.
How cool. I’ve yet to make it here yet. Next time!

A good photo but I’m never sure if some graffiti is art or vandalism. It’s all subjective I suppose
